Chivalry is dead...
Just great. I wasted my whole day on tv and dried up prunes...pitted, by the way... At least the prunes were good. On to the main topic.
Dont you guys think that chivalry is dead? To put it in other terms, belly up ..deceased ...defunct ...expired ...inert ...mortified. I can give you a 101 words, but lets not get to that. I see it everyday, as i take the trains and buses to campus. *'campus' sounds much cooler than plain boring 'school'*
Yeah, i've seen my fair share of sleep pretenders and just plain ignorant people. They would not give up their seat to the less abled, even though they're alighting at the next stop. Sad to say, the culprits are mostly working class male adults. I understand what they go through, day-in day-out, same old boring job but would it kill to have some basic courtesy. I do not have the heart, to see a woman as old as my mum stand up while i sit down. Its just not right. Weren't the previous generation the pioneers of the courtesy campaign? If im not wrong, the one with the yellow cheery lion wearing suspenders.
Ahh...Here's the lion...

-okaay. so he's not wearing suspenders. times have changed, get on with it.-
What happened to them? When i was young, i used to admire at pictures in the papers of teens getting awards from this big smiling lion and i'd think to myself " one day, its going to be me up there and im going to make my mum, dad, sisters, cousins...basically the whole world feel proud of me." Back then, that was like receiving the Nobel Peace Prize to me. Well, that was then. Hopefully the new generation would put all the Moral Ed. that we learnt to good use. If not, all those hours spent in primary school would be like spending whole afternoons on tv and prunes. It all amounts to nothing.
If you happen to feel bad after reading this 'cos of something you did, then shame on you. Ought to get whacked with an 18-inch rotan. Chaoz fer now...
